Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or equivalent special education endorsement
- Previous experience teaching special education at the high school level highly preferred
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP processes
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Develop, implement, and update instructional plans based on each student’s strengths and needs
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, case managers, and other support staff
- Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and maintain accurate records
- Communicate proactively with parents/guardians to share updates and address concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide activities
Assignment Details:
- High school setting serving students with varying learning needs
- Full-day schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- Assignment runs from December 16 through approximately June 21
- Full-time, temporary contract ideal for educators seeking a dynamic, impactful assignment
