The position spans from August 24, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Adapted Curriculum K-12 license (strictly no provisional licenses; please verify with VDOE)
- Alternatively, a General Curriculum K-12 license with proven experience in self-contained classrooms and comfort in behavioral support
- Demonstrated ability to provide intensive academic and behavioral intervention at the elementary level
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in educational environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral support to elementary students with a range of needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state standards
- Collaborate closely with parents, administrators, and classroom staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Utilize adaptive strategies and interventions tailored to student strengths and challenges
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
- Participate in ongoing professional development
You will be based at an elementary school known for collaborating with over 20 contracted professionals, creating an environment where resources and insights are shared to benefit students. The district ensures a streamlined onboarding process—no fingerprinting required before your start.
