Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials

- Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ability to adapt instruction accordingly
- Familiarity with managing a self-contained classroom
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students with mild to moderate needs in a self-contained classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEPs, ensuring compliance with educational standards
- Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, specialists, and families to promote students’ academic and social development
- Participate in all required meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to students’ progress
This full-time schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 3:15pm, ensuring consistency for students and a predictable routine for you. With a contract spanning through the end of the 2026-2027 school year, you’ll have time to see your efforts come to fruition.
