Special Education Teacher - North Richland Hills, Texas

As a contract Special Education Teacher, you’ll work closely with a small group of four students in grades 1–3, providing tailored interventions and promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Certified Special Education Teacher (required)
- Experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training is highly preferred
- Knowledge of implementing behavior intervention plans and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized lesson plans that address both academic and behavioral objectives for each student
- Utilize de-escalation and proactive behavior management strategies
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and adjust interventions as needed
- Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to ensure a comprehensive, coordinated approach to student needs
