As a Special Education Teacher in this role, you will:
- Deliver targeted math instruction to high school students in a self-contained SPED classroom setting.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), fostering both academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure every learner’s unique needs are met.
- Use adaptive materials and differentiated instruction to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to ongoing intervention and support planning.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and motivating classroom culture.
Qualifications:
- Valid SPED EC-12 certification required.
- Valid High School Math certification required.
- Prior experience in a high school SPED setting, particularly with self-contained classrooms, is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and teams.
