Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current North Carolina Teaching License with certification for Middle and/or High School
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, especially in inclusion and resource classrooms
- Strong knowledge of IEP implementation, modifications, and differentiated instructional strategies
- Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education support services according to students’ IEPs in inclusion/resource settings
- Collaborate with general educators to adapt curricula and facilitate student participation
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Serve as an advocate for students with disabilities, maintaining a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to planning for student success
