Qualifications and Experience:
- Active North Carolina Teaching License, qualified for middle and high school levels
- Experience in special education settings preferred, especially inclusion/resource models
- Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies to varied learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to providing equitable educational experiences and supporting students with diverse needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective instructional strategies and individualized plans for students in both middle and high school settings
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and other special education staff to support students within the inclusion/resource model
- Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and provide ongoing feedback to families and team members
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and accommodations to remove barriers to learning
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
