Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction across core subjects, adapting lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student.
- Attend and present at IEP meetings, communicating progress and strategies to multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Conduct student testing and ongoing goal tracking to monitor academic and behavioral progress.
- Focus teaching efforts in the classroom, while case management duties are handled by central administration, allowing you to concentrate fully on instruction and student development.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education endorsement.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and executing IEPs.
- Minimum of two years of recent teaching experience in special education.
- Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset, and dedication to student success.
