Special Education & Early Childhood Teaching Opportunities
Exciting roles are available supporting students in both elementary and middle school settings. These contract teaching positions offer a chance to make a meaningful impact, working in various environments ranging from cross-categorical special education classrooms to early childhood instruction. Positions currently open include:
- Cross-Categorical Special Education Teachers (multiple openings)
- Self-Contained Special Education Teacher (working with students who have complex needs, including Autism and medical needs)
- 4K Teacher (requires a 1809 license)
- Middle School Cross-Categorical Special Education Teachers (multiple openings)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification in the relevant teaching area(s)
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to collaboration with other educators, families, and support staff
- For 4K position, active 1809 license is required
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of student progress
- Create inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environments
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Utilize evidence-based instructional practices to promote student success
