Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction credential (R3EN or Mod/Severe)
- Experience serving students with moderate to severe disabilities, including autism, intellectual disability, multiple disabilities, OHI, orthopedic impairment, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, and deafblindness
- Skill in creating and adapting curriculum for individualized instruction
- Ability to effectively implement and monitor IEP goals
- Strong collaboration skills with families, educators, aides, therapists, nurses, and administrators
- Commitment to supporting students with significant medical, behavioral, sensory, or communication needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to diverse learning profiles
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students’ academic and functional targets
- Teach adaptive and daily living skills to foster student independence
- Provide support in academic, behavioral, communication, and functional areas
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and meet compliance standards
- Collaborate consistently with team members and demonstrate a problem-solving approach
- Participate in IEP meetings and support data-based decision-making
- Work onsite with dedication and flexibility
