Special Education Teacher | Olathe, Colorado

As a Special Education Teacher focusing on resource and inclusion services, you’ll use your expertise to guide students, collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold federal and state special education standards. The caseload will target elementary learners, with specifics to be confirmed by the district, and flexibility for onsite or possible hybrid work arrangements.
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain one via reciprocity
- Previous experience supporting elementary students is highly desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of IDEA and special education compliance
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with experience working alongside teachers, families, and specialist providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
- Maintain thorough documentation to ensure compliance
- Engage in regular collaboration with district staff, parents, and service providers
- Participate actively in student evaluations and IEP team meetings
