Essential Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Special Education License with Early Childhood endorsement, or eligibility for Colorado licensure via reciprocity
- Solid understanding of early childhood development and intervention strategies
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational or therapeutic setting is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instructional methods
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and developmental support to young children receiving special education services in preschool environments
- Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Regularly assess student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and ensure compliance with special education requirements
- Engage in ongoing collaboration with families and professionals to promote students’ cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, and communication growth
- Participate in eligibility determinations, multidisciplinary team meetings, and IEP reviews
This contract role offers the unique opportunity to make a difference during formative years, working part-time (20 hours per week) within school-day hours for the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 12, 2026.
