In this contract position, you’ll play a vital role in promoting positive behavioral and social-emotional outcomes through direct support, collaboration, and data-driven interventions.
Your background in special education or behavioral intervention will be essential as you travel between schools, providing expertise and guidance to teams, staff, and families. If you’re passionate about helping students succeed and skilled in functional behavioral assessments and positive behavior support planning, this role offers a dynamic and impactful setting.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Active Kansas State Teaching License with appropriate endorsement
- School-based behavioral specialist, BCBA, or similar experience preferred
- Experience with FBAs and BIPs, and supporting students with behavioral/social-emotional needs
- Preferred: additional licensure in school psychology, social work, or school counseling
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve itinerantly across multiple districts with K-12 student caseload
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with school teams, parents, and staff; provide ongoing coaching and training on behavioral supports
- Implement and monitor research-based, data-driven interventions for student success
- Assist with crisis intervention and provide proactive support to foster positive learning environments
Schedule and Details:
- Full-time, on-site: 35 hours per week
- Contract Dates: August 19, 2026 – May 20, 2027
- One position available for the upcoming school year
