Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in Nebraska (or eligibility)
- Experience working in resource classroom settings at the elementary or middle school level
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored instruction and support to students with a variety of learning needs in resource classroom environments
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in coordination with related service providers and families
- Monitor student growth, adapting approaches as necessary, and maintain thorough documentation of progress
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that encourages participation and achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers and school teams to ensure student inclusion and success
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
