Key Qualifications:
- Current Florida ESE certification required
- Florida K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification mandatory
- Previous experience leading self-contained special education classrooms
- Dexterity with differentiated instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
- Commitment to timely completion of fingerprinting/background checks per AHCA and school district protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained ESE classroom, adapting lessons to meet varied academic and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide a structured, supportive environment that encourages growth and engagement
- Maintain consistent communication with families and fellow educators about student progress
- Support student independence, social skills, and positive behaviors through research-based interventions
This assignment offers 35 hours per week during standard school hours with the stability of teaching at one campus for the entirety of the school year. Please note, this role does not have remote or VOCO options and is exclusively onsite.
