This contract opportunity focuses on supporting 4th and 5th grade students in an inclusive learning environment at an intermediate school near Orland Park, IL. The assignment runs full-time from August 14 through the end of September, with possibility of extension.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement (Screenshot of your license required—please add a blank page with your screenshot to the end of your resume)
- Experience teaching students with special needs, especially in resource settings
- Familiarity with push-in and pull-out instructional models for ELA and Math
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction for 4th and 5th graders, serving approximately 8-10 students
- Provide both push-in and pull-out resource minutes for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communications with parents/guardians
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student growth and engagement
- Work on campus from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week
- Fulfill your assignment with professionalism and flexibility, supporting the school during an FMLA coverage period
