Special Education Teacher | Cicero, Illinois

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, ideally in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to implement individualized goals
- Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students in special education programs
- Create and adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning needs
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary
- Maintain detailed documentation and data tracking in alignment with school requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
