Special Education Teacher | Osseo, Minnesota

This contract opportunity is tailored for a passionate Special Education Teacher eager to make a significant difference in the lives of students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
You’ll help deliver personalized instruction in a collaborative setting dedicated to fostering curiosity and resilience. This role supports a center-based EBD program within a unique school environment that integrates mathematics, science, engineering, and computer programming into the elementary experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Teaching Certification in Special Education (required; please include this certification and your resume with your application).
- Prior experience teaching or supporting students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based behavioral and academic strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff for optimal student growth.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Role Highlights:
- Deliver differentiated instruction and behavioral interventions to meet the diverse needs of a center-based EBD caseload.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom climate that fosters positive relationships and academic achievement.
- Work closely with a team of educators and specialists to support the whole child using innovative curriculum, including STEM and computer science.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians and school staff.
This contract, full-time position (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week), is available from early September through mid-June.
