Special Education Teacher - Osseo, Minnesota

The district is seeking two onsite Special Education Teachers for the upcoming academic year at a vibrant K-5 specialty school known for integrating mathematics, science, and children’s engineering through hands-on learning like Project Lead the Way Launch. You’ll play a vital part in helping students discover their strengths as you manage an elementary resource caseload and support inclusive education.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Demonstrated experience in Special Education at the elementary level
- Knowledge of best practices in IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate closely with general education staff and related service providers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Candidate's Minnesota Teaching Certification and resume must be included for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver resource services to elementary students in accordance with IEPs
- Adapt curriculum to meet individual learning needs and support student growth
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies to foster student engagement and achievement
- Collect data and monitor progress, participating in eligibility and review meetings
- Consult with parents, advocate for student needs, and facilitate communication between home and school
- Contribute to a positive, creative, and supportive school culture
