Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education license
- Endorsements sought: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disorder (DCD), Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD), or Academic Behavior Strategist (ABS), based on assignment
- A minimum of two years of direct Special Education teaching experience (other classroom roles do not fulfill this requirement)
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
Role Details and Schedule:
- Full-time, contract positions: 37.5 hours per week, September 8, 2026 – June 10, 2027
- Placements include Center-Based ASD/DCD, Center-Based SEL, and Resource classrooms at elementary schools
- Locations/availability include Birch Grove, Rice Lake, Zanewood, Cedar Island, Fair Oaks, and Basswood
- Caseloads are organized for focused, specialized instruction and support
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and evidence-based instruction to students with exceptional needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP team processes
