An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Special Education Teachers eager to make a difference in a supportive K-12 environment. This contract-based position offers the chance to work within a center-based Setting III classroom, providing specialized instruction and advocacy for students who require dedicated support.
In this role, you'll join a dynamic educational team focused on individual growth and achievement for students with unique learning needs. The assignment runs from late August through early June, aligning with the typical academic calendar, and offers a consistent weekly schedule of full-time hours.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Demonstrated experience in a Setting III or center-based classroom is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families
- Ability to craft individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of each student
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with special education needs in a center-based environment
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Monitor, document, and report student progress towards IEP goals
- Partner with families to support educational outcomes and facilitate effective communication
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
