Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Demonstrated experience with high-needs populations, particularly Setting 4 or similar environments
- Strong behavioral management strategies and a compassionate, student-centered approach
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external partners
- Skilled in adapting lesson plans to meet diverse learning styles and needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with severe disabilities and significant behavioral needs
- Employ evidence-based interventions and positive behavioral supports
- Assess, progress monitor, and document student goals and outcomes
- Collaborate with related service providers and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Support students’ social-emotional growth alongside academic progress
- Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment for all learners
