Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid certification or license in Special Education (as required by state guidelines)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience working with students requiring individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and school staff
- Familiarity with positive behavioral interventions and evidence-based instructional strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver engaging instruction and differentiated learning activities within both small and large group settings
- Evaluate student progress through assessments and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress reports and compliance forms
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices and accommodations
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development
- Foster an encouraging and respectful classroom culture that celebrates diverse strengths
