An exceptional opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher seeking a contract position in an elementary K-4 classroom with therapeutic needs. This role offers the chance to inspire young learners and support students with diverse abilities in a substantially separate setting. The assignment runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with a consistent schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in K-4 settings
- Skilled in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adept at providing instructional and behavioral support to students with therapeutic needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and families
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction in all core subjects, tailored to diverse student learning profiles
- Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs to ensure ongoing student progress
- Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and administrators
- Employ evidence-based strategies for classroom management and social-emotional learning
- Maintain detailed records of academic and behavioral progress
- Engage in family communications and participate in team meetings throughout the school year
