Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Special Education Credential with at least Mild/Moderate Authorization
- Experience teaching in a K-12 setting; a strong background in middle school education is highly valued
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to fit individual students’ needs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated commitment to creating a safe, nurturing classroom culture
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning profiles in both individual and small group settings
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with families and related service providers
- Assess student progress regularly and modify instructional approaches as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom climate that encourages student participation and builds self-esteem
- Support the school community by contributing to projects, activities, and school events
