Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-8 students
- Previous experience working in special education, especially within resource classrooms, preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and administration
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusive practices within the school setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction based on IEPs for students in elementary or middle school settings
- Adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet students’ specific learning needs
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and other required school functions
- Implement positive behavior support strategies as needed
