Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification required
- Previous experience supporting students with severe disabilities strongly preferred
- In-depth understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Skilled in adapting curriculum to meet varied learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Strong organizational abilities and compassion for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a self-contained classroom for middle school students with severe disabilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt and modify instruction to support diverse learning styles and abilities
- Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and families to maximize student growth
- Maintain compliance with district and state special education regulations
