This IEP Coordinator position is full-time (30 hours per week) and focuses exclusively on coordinating the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process—no direct classroom teaching required. The role demands precision, diplomacy, and an organized approach to ensure compliance and support for every student served.

Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education certification required
  • Preference for Birth–21 Special Education certification (all types considered)
  • Prior experience as a Case Manager, IEP Coordinator, ARD Facilitator, or similar special education support role
  • Familiarity with Embrace and Chicago Public Schools IEP systems strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate meetings

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings for special education students
  • Maintain clear, timely communication among families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely IEP documentation
  • Oversee student records and monitor special education processes
  • Collaborate with district staff to uphold state and federal compliance
  • Utilize district technology and platforms for documentation and workflow management
  • Support all aspects of special education case management
