Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction to high school students with special education needs, ensuring curriculum accessibility.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to foster student success.
- Facilitate classroom accommodations and modifications in accordance with student IEPs.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student assessments, progress reports, and compliance requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting equity and inclusion.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting, preferably with high school students.
- Strong understanding of state and federal special education regulations.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support a diverse group of students, adapting instructional methods to meet individual needs.
