Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials required
- Experience working with SLS (Supported Learning Support) or similar populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, development, and implementation
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom atmosphere
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction for 3rd–5th grade students on an SLS caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Adapt curriculum and lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress toward IEP goals
- Partner with families to support student growth and foster school-home communication
- Foster a positive, respectful environment that encourages both academic and social development
