Qualifications:
- Possession of a current Arizona Special Education teaching certificate
- (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card is required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- A passion for fostering inclusive and supportive educational settings
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Flexible and adaptable approach to a dynamic classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction for K-8 students in a resource setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to support student progress and engagement
- Collect data and track student growth to inform educational decisions
- Partner with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create a positive learning experience
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Uphold all confidentiality, compliance, and reporting standards as required for special education
