Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Master’s degree preferred
- Prior experience working with students who have intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Adaptable, patient, and passionate about student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and staff
- Deliver tailored lessons, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
- Regularly assess and document student progress, making data-driven instructional adjustments as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
- Communicate effectively with families to encourage partnership in student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and ongoing training as required
