Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Current state Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
- Experience in substantially separate classrooms, especially with K-1st and 3rd-5th grades
- Skilled in supporting students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities
- Experience with applied behavior analysis and specially designed instruction preferred
- Able to provide toileting and hygiene support
- Experience working with students on the spectrum and non-verbal students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with severe needs
- Collaborate with support staff, including RBTs, to implement IEPs
- Provide both academic and functional skills programming
- Maintain detailed progress documentation and ensure compliance
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
