Required Qualifications and Experience:
- State certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, especially in classroom settings encompassing early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for multiple grade levels and diverse learning needs
- Confidence in delivering instruction in core academic areas, with a particular emphasis on Math
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, general educators, and support staff
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered teaching approaches
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals and abilities
- Deliver differentiated instruction for small groups and/or individual students from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom climate that encourages engagement and growth for all learners
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-plan lessons and adapt curricula as needed
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Engage in regular communication with families, caregivers, and professionals to support student success
