Key Qualifications:
- Accredited bachelor’s degree required
- Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) certificate
- Experience supporting students with disabilities in educational settings preferred
- Strong classroom management and adaptive instruction skills
- Ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals, school staff, and families
- Fingerprinting through the TEA required if not previously completed for a Texas public school district
Role Overview:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to elementary students in self-contained or specialized classrooms (Life Skills, Autism, Behavior, or Medically Fragile settings)
- Facilitate small-group rotations and encourage inclusion in school activities such as lunch, Art, and PE
- Develop, monitor, and adjust IEP goals according to student progress and needs
- Foster a supportive learning environment, working with paraprofessionals, nurses, and other specialists as assigned
- Communicate regularly with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
