Special Education Teacher | Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

This contract role is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher ready to make an impact in a self-contained ESE classroom serving primarily elementary-age learners. Located near Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, you will be on-site full-time, with one school assignment within the northwestern region of the district. The school year runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a steady schedule of 35 hours per week (seven hours per day).

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Florida ESE certification
- Valid K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
- Demonstrated experience leading a self-contained classroom
- Strong understanding of a variety of exceptionalities and differentiated instruction
- Completion of fingerprinting (if previously completed in Florida, status verification may be possible)
- Willingness to undergo an internal eligibility interview and a virtual prescreen to assess fit
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction in a self-contained ESE classroom, addressing a range of learning levels and exceptionalities
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide comprehensive student support
