As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll make a meaningful impact in well-supported classrooms serving Kindergarten, elementary, and preschool students who have been referred from surrounding districts.
Key openings include:
- Kindergarten/Elementary Special Education Teacher: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM. High need exists for educators skilled with Grades 1–3.
- Preschool Special Education Teacher (SFP Program): Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. High demand for compassionate preschool educators.
Classroom Structure & Program Details:
- Manage a self-contained classroom of 6–12 students per class, each supported by three additional staff members.
- Students are placed according to their IEP goals, academic levels, and where necessary, behavioral support plans.
- Emphasis on collaboration with classroom staff to foster a positive learning environment tailored to each child’s unique strengths.
- Immediate interviews for proactive educators ready to support students ranging from preschool to elementary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Preferred: Valid Early Childhood Special Education and/or K–12 Special Education certification.
- Experience working with students in self-contained or special education settings is highly valued.
- Ability to adapt to varied academic and behavioral needs, delivering instruction according to IEPs.
- Must meet required state clearances before starting.
