6th Grade 8th Grade Special Education Teacher in Providence, RI

In this role, you'll provide vital academic and multilingual learner (MLL) support by participating in push-in inclusion classes, as well as conducting targeted pull-out sessions. With a daily schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, you’ll collaborate closely with staff and families to foster a positive learning environment and make a difference where it matters most.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Special Education certification required; ESL endorsement strongly preferred
- Experience supporting middle school students, especially in inclusive academic settings
- Strong understanding of push-in and pull-out service models
- Commitment to academic excellence and the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual students
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with other educators and support staff
- Excellent communication skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in academic subjects within inclusive classrooms
- Provide targeted pull-out support for both academic and MLL needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations in partnership with team members
- Track and document student progress, communicating with families and staff
- Contribute to a welcoming, supportive, and responsive school climate for all learners
