Special Education Teacher in Quincy, MA

Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher licensure for Moderate Disabilities, grades 5-12
- Prior experience in high school special education settings preferred
- Strong background tutoring or teaching math concepts at the high school level
- Comfortable utilizing virtual/online tutoring platforms and digital learning tools
- Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse learning needs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Tutor a high school student in math, adapting strategies to support unique learning needs
- Provide virtual instruction and guidance over 20 contracted hours in August
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on student’s IEP and academic goals
- Maintain accurate session notes, progress updates, and effective parent/guardian communication
- Work collaboratively with school staff as needed to ensure continuity of supports
