Special Education Teacher in Quincy, MA

Desired Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education, especially in severe needs or substantially separate classrooms
- Familiarity with adapting curriculum and managing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing classroom culture
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement individualized lesson plans designed to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to deliver comprehensive support
- Conduct progress monitoring, maintain thorough documentation, and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Adapt materials and teaching approaches for varying ability levels
- Provide consistent structure and positive behavioral supports to encourage student growth and achievement
