Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Massachusetts licensure in Severe Disabilities or Moderate Disabilities (required)
- Experience working with Pre-K through 8th Grade students, ideally in a school-based setting
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, IEP implementation, and behavior management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on students’ IEPs, adapting lessons to diverse learning needs
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including families, specialists, and administrators—to support student growth and development
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and productive environment
- Assess student progress, track data, and participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
- Cultivate positive relationships with students while encouraging independence and confidence
