Special Education Teacher in Ridgeland, SC

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (active or eligible)
- Previous experience working with students with varying disabilities (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt materials and strategies to meet individual needs
- Capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop, adapt, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging instruction using differentiated methods
- Assess student progress and document outcomes
- Create a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
- Work closely with general education staff and support professionals
