Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher Licensure for the state of Colorado, or willingness to obtain before start date
- Previous experience in a special education classroom setting (preferred)
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills to foster relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility, patience, and creativity working with students across a range of abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree a plus)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and differentiated support to meet students' unique learning profiles
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed to promote growth
- Collaborate proactively with general education teachers, support staff, and administration
- Participate in IEP meetings, documenting goals, progress, and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
