Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Special Education Teacher licensure or commitment to obtaining state licensure
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or closely related field
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability to individualized learning plans and diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective educational plans tailored to students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and school administrators to support student success
- Assess student progress using qualitative and quantitative methods
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing your insights to help shape student goals and accommodations
- Maintain accurate student records and regular, professional communication with families and staff
- Foster a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student engagement
