Special Education Teacher - Riverside, California
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Special Education professional with a passion for supporting students with orthopedic impairments! A nearby district is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to fill a full-time, contract assignment serving the needs of students by consulting with teams and ensuring compliance with specialized IEP requirements.
In this role, you'll play a vital part in the success of students with orthopedic impairments—without being responsible for direct instruction or maintaining your own classroom. As the primary point of expertise for orthopedic impairment (OI) cases, you will lend your knowledge to teachers and staff, helping the district create an accessible and supportive learning environment.
Your expertise will shine in the following areas:
- Consulting with school teams regarding orthopedic impairment needs on student IEPs
- Participating in IEP meetings as the OI expert to support effective planning and implementation
- Conducting in-depth assessments to identify student needs and recommending adjustments or supports
- Ordering and coordinating adaptive equipment to enhance student access to the curriculum
- Collaborating with OT/PT and district staff to ensure all OI-related requirements are met
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials, with Orthopedic Impairment (OI) certification required
- Experience as a Case Manager, particularly supporting OI or related needs
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and IDEA guidelines
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to be onsite; this contract does not offer virtual or remote work options
Enjoy the rewards of impacting educational quality while focusing on collaboration and consultation—freeing you from the typical demands of case management like direct service, student caseloads, or IEP writing.
If you are ready to bring your OI expertise to a supportive district and make a difference in educational access, apply today for immediate consideration!
Compensation for this position ranges from $33.34 to $53.34. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
