Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for Texas
- Prior experience working with students in inclusive or adaptive educational settings is preferred
- Ability to design, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to promoting a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
- Foster a safe and encouraging classroom environment that supports student achievement and confidence
- Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and resources
