Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Michigan teaching license (Special Education)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in elementary settings is highly desirable
- Comfortable managing a classroom with up to eight students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both staff and families
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to enhance academic outcomes
- Employ a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies
- Foster social, emotional, and academic development for students with diverse abilities
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Participate in ongoing professional development as needed
