Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification (Illinois PEL or equivalent).
- Prior experience teaching ELA at the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade levels preferred.
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs.
- Commitment to collaborative team teaching and communication with parents and staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality ELA instruction adapted to the needs of 4th and 5th grade students.
- Manage and provide specialized support for a caseload of 9-14 students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive lessons and classroom environments.
- Develop, monitor, and report on student IEP goals and progress.
- Engage with families to foster positive relationships and support student growth.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
