Special Education Teacher | Rossville, Georgia

This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity for a Special Education Teacher who holds a current Georgia Special Education Certification and is eager to foster growth, inclusion, and success for young students.
Your talents will serve an elementary-age caseload, providing tailored instruction, IEP development, and collaborative support from August 7, 2026, through May 25, 2027. You'll work a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a supportive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Special Education Certification
- Experience creating, adapting, or implementing IEPs
- Strong communication skills to liaise with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop differentiated lesson plans
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to elementary students with diverse learning needs
- Write, review, and update IEPs, ensuring compliance and student-centered goals
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with caregivers and team members
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual learning styles
