Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing individualized education plans, adapting curriculum and teaching methods, and collaborating with other educators and support staff to foster a positive, inclusive environment. You’ll be instrumental in guiding students to achieve their academic and social-emotional goals while maintaining a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere.
Desired Qualifications:
- Holds an active Michigan Special Education Teaching license
- Endorsement in Emotional Impairment (EI) considered a plus
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
Primary Duties:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with families and staff
- Utilize data-driven strategies and behavioral interventions
- Maintain open communication with students’ families and interdisciplinary teams
- Track and document student progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly
