Qualifications:
- Active ABS Licensure in Minnesota (required)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and resource classroom best practices
- Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students in grades 1-8 within a resource classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Foster a positive, student-centered classroom environment in alignment with Montessori educational principles
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support student progress and inclusion
- Maintain accurate records and track student goals and benchmarks
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievement and strategies for support
This role is contracted for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and offers a pay rate of $40-$45 per hour.
